Adding Borders To Text

1) First you need to create a new image and add some text to it (obviously) =b so do that and go to step 2 =D

2) At the top, click Layers -> Layer Style -> Stroke and have your settings like mine [Screen Shot] and click ok, that's it! Easy huh? =] Check below for further explanations...

Size: This is the width of the outline, so, we entered 2 making the outline width 2 pixels.

Position: We selected Outside which positions the outline outside of the text, selecting inside will place it just inside the text and selecting center will place the outline on the center of the text edges.

Blend Mode: It's best to leave this set to normal, you can try experimenting with different modes if you wish =]

Opacity: It's best to leave this as 100%, entering a lower number will make the outline less visible.

Fill Type: We selected Color which fills the outline with a solid color, selecting Gradient will fill it with a gradient and selecting pattern will fill it with a pattern (pretty self explanatory really XD)

Color: Obviously if you've selected Color for the fill type then this is where you select which color you want the line to be.
